Ice Rink is Open

The Capuano Ice Rink at Yukich Fields (89th and Kedzie) is now open! Skating availability is dependent upon the temperature. 

Line Dancing Classes, Every Monday

Classes are offered every Monday at the Evergreen Park Community Center, 3450 W. 97th Street. 11:00am - Beginners, 12:00 pm - Intermediate, Cost $2.00/Class.

Stampin' Up Cards, February 5th from 6:30-8:30p.m.

Esther Thoele of Stampin' Up will teach you how to use decorative rubber stamps and accessories to make personal greeting cards. Participants will create different themed cards each month. Bring your own scissors and adhesive. Register for each class separately. Pay instructor directly. Evergreen Park Public Library

Yak and Yarn ~ Tuesday, February 5th, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

The Yak and Yarn Club is open to crocheters and beginning knitters as well.   6th grade - adult are welcome. Sessions are held in the library’s Reading Room. Beginning crochet students should bring an H/8 hook and skein of medium weight yarn; beginning knitters should bring size 8 needles and a skein of medium weight yarn. All others bring a current project you are working on to enjoy the camaraderie of crocheting and knitting with others. Evergreen Park Public Library

Sip & Sample-Diamond Anniversary Edition~February 9th, 6:00pm - 10:00pm

Celebrate Evergreen Park Library's 75th anniversary at the popular Sip & Sample event! Food samples prepared by local chefs are paired with beer and wine tastings. Split the pot and basket drawings, too! Dance to music performed by A Week Back. A 21 year and over event. This event requires a payment of $25.00 per registrant to attend. Registration for this event will close on February 9, 2019 @3:00pm. Evergreen Park Public Library, 9400 S. Smart911 Sign Up ~ Wednesday, February 13th, 6:00pm - 7:30pm

Representatives from the Evergreen Park Police Department will be in the library lobby to distribute information and help you create an account in the new Smart911 Citizens' Alert System. Evergreen Park Public Library

Seed Swap Saturday ~ February 23rd, All Day

Prepare for spring planting with a seed swap at the library! Bring saved or purchased seeds (non-GMO and organic), labeled with name and growing information, to swap with other gardeners. Seed programs throughout the day.  Watch the Evergreen Park Public Library site for more information.

Chef Keith will make the New Orleans-style soup and sandwich: jambalaya and muffaletta. This event requires a payment of $3.00 per registrant to attend. Registration for this event will close on February 26, 2019 @ 6:30pm. Evergreen Park Public Library
